The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Index Institute of Dental Sciences, Malwanchal University, Indore, celebrated Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics Week from 5th to 13th March 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty members, postgraduate students, interns, and undergraduate students. The week-long celebration was organized to promote academic excellence, professional development, and student engagement while highlighting the significance of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in preserving natural dentition through advanced restorative and endodontic procedures. The event provided an excellent platform for learning, innovation, and collaboration among students and faculty.
A major highlight of the celebration was an insightful academic lecture delivered by Dr. Anu Vashisht on the topic “3D Cleaning in Endodontics.” The session focused on contemporary irrigation protocols and advanced cleaning techniques used in root canal treatment, emphasizing the importance of three-dimensional disinfection for achieving successful clinical outcomes. The lecture offered valuable knowledge on emerging technologies and evidence-based practices, enriching the clinical understanding of participants and encouraging them to adopt modern approaches in endodontic treatment. The interactive session also allowed students to engage with the expert and clarify their academic and clinical queries.
To make the celebration more vibrant and inclusive, the department organized a variety of extracurricular and academic competitions, including a quiz contest, antakshari, pebble painting, fireless cooking, and reels competition. These activities encouraged creativity, teamwork, communication skills, and healthy competition while strengthening the bond among students across different academic levels. The week concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony and prize distribution function, where winners of various competitions were felicitated for their outstanding performances.
