The three-day Index Dental Premier League (IDPL), organized by the Index Institute of Dental Sciences, concluded on a high note with an exciting final match and a grand prize distribution ceremony. The tournament brought together eight enthusiastic teams, showcasing remarkable sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout the event. The thrilling final was played between Dental Super Kings and Dental Dominators, captivating students, faculty members, and spectators with an intense display of cricketing talent. Batting first, Dental Dominators posted a competitive total of 67 runs in the allotted overs. In response, Dental Super Kings fought hard but were bowled out for 53 runs, enabling Dental Dominators to secure a convincing 14-run victory and lift the championship trophy. Vivek Tiwari was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance in the final.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Mr. Rajesh Verma, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Indore, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that sports play a vital role in shaping discipline, leadership, resilience, and team spirit among students while contributing to their holistic personality development. The ceremony was also attended by Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Mayank Welfare Foundation, Mr. Umakant Chaudhary, DSP, Dr. R. S. Ranawat, Director, Dr. Rosaiya Kanaparthi, Dean, Dr. G. S. Patel, Dr. Pawan Bhambani, Dr. R. C. Yadav, Dr. Rajendra Singh, Deputy Registrar, Mr. Dheeraj Jaiswal, CAO, Ms. Amita Singh, along with senior officials, faculty members, and students of the institute.
The dignitaries felicitated the champion team, Dental Dominators, by presenting the championship trophy and also honoured the runners-up and individual performers for their exceptional contributions during the tournament.
