The Index Institute of Dental Sciences (IIDS), Indore, organized a comprehensive Anti-Ragging Orientation Programme Workshop on 11th December 2025, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic environment. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance, followed by Saraswati Vandana to seek blessings for wisdom and harmony. Designed to educate students about the significance of a ragging-free campus, the workshop aimed to instill values of discipline, empathy, and responsible conduct. The institute had the honor of welcoming Dr. B. M. Shrivastava as the Guest Speaker. His thought-provoking session provided detailed insights into the legal framework, emotional impact, preventive guidelines, and shared responsibilities associated with anti-ragging, making the session highly informative and motivating for students.
The workshop was further enriched by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Sanjeev Narang (Vice Chancellor, Malwanchal University), Mr. R. S. Ranawat (Director, Malwanchal University), Shri R. C. Yadav (Additional Director, Malwanchal University), and Dr. Rosaiah Kanapathy (Dean, IIDS), along with Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff, and a large gathering of students. Their presence emphasized the institute’s strong stance against ragging and its dedication to promoting a culture of respect and professionalism. The session offered students a platform to understand institutional support systems, reporting mechanisms, and the active role of the Anti-Ragging Cell. Through interactive discussions, students were encouraged to uphold the values of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect that form the foundation of a safe and progressive learning environment.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and the Management Team for their continuous encouragement, visionary leadership, and steadfast commitment to student welfare and campus safety. Appreciation was also extended to the Organizing Committee Members of the Anti-Ragging Cell for their dedication and successful coordination of the event. The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among attendees. Through this initiative, IIDS once again reinforced its dedication to creating a secure, supportive, and academically enriching campus where students can grow with confidence and integrity.
