On 19th June 2025, the Index Institute of Dental Sciences proudly hosted a significant program on Mission Matra Bhasha in the college auditorium. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Ashok Khandelwal, Vice Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur, as the Guest of Honor. His inspirational address captivated the audience, emphasizing the importance of embracing the mother tongue in the realm of medical education. His words resonated deeply, especially when he quoted, “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.”
The event witnessed the active participation of Vice Chancellor of Malwanchal University, Dr. Sanjeev Narang, Registrar Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhana, Dean of Index Medical College Dr. G.S. Patel, Dean of Index Institute of Dental Sciences Dr. Rolly S. Agrawal, and Director of HR & Communication Mr. Roopesh Verma, along with all Heads of Departments, faculty members, interns, and students. The program focused on the integration of mother tongue in medical education to make learning more inclusive and accessible, especially for students from rural or Hindi-medium backgrounds. Dr. Khandelwal emphasized the potential of such initiatives to empower students and enhance their ability to grasp complex medical concepts more effectively.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Khandelwal encouraged Malwanchal University to take the lead in adopting and promoting medical education in regional languages. He stressed that this initiative would not only help in creating more empathetic and effective doctors but also improve doctor-patient communication. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Rolly S. Agrawal, Dean of Index Institute of Dental Sciences, appreciating the presence of dignitaries, the efforts of the organizing committee, and the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty.
