The Department of Public Health Dentistry at Index Institute of Dental Sciences, in collaboration with the Global Path Fields Organization, successfully organized a comprehensive dental health education and screening camp for the employees of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on 20th February 2025. Held at the Indore Municipal Corporation Office, the primary objective of this initiative was to promote oral health awareness and provide essential dental screenings to IMC employees. The event aimed to empower participants with vital information on oral hygiene practices and preventive care, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
The camp was led by a team of distinguished professionals from Index Institute of Dental Sciences, including Dr. Poonam Tomar Rana, Dr. Gaurav Mishra, and Dr. Chirag Vyas, who offered expert guidance throughout the event. Additionally, a group of dedicated interns-Malaika Jaiswal, Moh Hazrat Belal, Neelam Giri, Nandini Sisodiya, and Prachi Mishra-actively contributed to the smooth execution of the camp, providing screenings and personalized consultations to the employees. Through this initiative, participants received valuable insights into effective dental care and preventive measures to address common dental issues, empowering them to take proactive steps in maintaining their oral health.
More than 250 IMC employees attended the camp, benefiting from the free dental screenings and educational sessions. The event not only provided immediate dental care but also fostered long-term oral health awareness among the participants. As part of Index Institute of Dental Sciences’ ongoing commitment to community health, this initiative highlights the institution’s dedication to enhancing public health through outreach programs. The camp underscores the importance of workplace wellness and its role in fostering healthier, more informed communities.
