The Index Institute of Dental Sciences successfully organized a webinar titled “The Role of AI Tools in the Health Sector” on 12th July 2025 at 12:00 PM in Lecture Hall 1. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 60 attendees, including faculty members, postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Manish Jaisal, Head of Department at DJMC, ITM University, Gwalior — a renowned AI expert and national media trainer. This insightful session was held under the ADiRA (AI for Digital Readiness and Advancement) programme, an initiative designed to equip healthcare professionals with essential digital competencies for the evolving medical field.
Dr. Jaisal presented an in-depth overview of the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, covering its practical applications in diagnostics, treatment planning, patient management, and clinical decision-making. He emphasized how AI is revolutionizing healthcare delivery by improving efficiency, precision, and patient outcomes. As a National Trainer for ADiRA, Dr. Jaisal demonstrated real-world examples where AI tools are enabling better resource management, quicker diagnosis, and more personalized treatment strategies. The ADiRA initiative is supported by Data LEADS, AVPN, and the Asian Development Bank, and it reflects a collective effort to integrate digital innovation into healthcare education and practice. The event was seamlessly coordinated by Dr. Ganga Dubey, Reader, Department of Pedodontics, and Dr. Nazneen Khan, Lecturer, Department of Orthodontics.
Concluding the event, Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman of Index Group of Institutions, lauded the initiative and stressed the importance of embracing AI in modern healthcare education. He remarked, “Artificial Intelligence is not merely a future trend — it is a present necessity that holds the power to redefine healthcare outcomes. We are committed to cultivating a generation of healthcare professionals who are not only clinically competent but also digitally empowered.” This webinar reaffirmed the institute’s dedication to fostering innovation and preparing future dental professionals to meet the demands of an increasingly digital and data-driven healthcare environment.
